How one honest conversation can change a strategy
Every transformation we've delivered started the same way: not with a deck, but with a dozen honest conversations. The first interview round decides the whole engagement — it surfaces the constraint nobody put in the brief and tells us who will champion the change.
Listen for the constraint
Stakeholders describe symptoms: slow sales, messy handoffs, forecasts nobody trusts. Our job in week one is to keep asking why until the real bottleneck shows itself. In retail it was the buying calendar; in fintech it was pricing; in healthcare it was referral ownership. Different industries, same discipline.
Advice is cheap. An accurate diagnosis, earned through real conversations, is what makes change stick.
How we run discovery
We interview across levels — executives, operators, customers, even lost deals — and we share verbatim themes back within days. When teams hear their own words reflected clearly, alignment follows. The roadmap stops being our recommendation and becomes their decision.
If your next initiative starts with a solution instead of conversations, pause. The cheapest phase of any project is the one where you still get to ask questions.
